[ Although it's not exactly the most secretive thing ever, Ange still doesn't really want all people around to know how desperate she is to make sure that not only she survives the voting rounds, but the two other direct members of her family here too. Natsuhi is someone she wants to help too, but that's a little easier since they're on the same team - and it's probably easier to keep this specific talk just to the three of them. Just in case stuff like everyone being dead or hamburgers come up.

So a little while after the game results are out, she goes around to find both Rudolf and Battler to drag them to her dressing room for a private talk. ]

Dad, onii-chan. Do you have people voting for you?

It might be a bit cramped with three people in a dressing room, but frankly he doesn't mind it with this crowd. It's a good excuse to put an arm around Ange.]

My group's got enough to go around between us, it sounds like they want to distribute among us like that. I can't this time since I'm on a losing team, but whenever I can, you guys know I'll vote for you long before worrying about anyone else, right? Or hell, I'll trade mine to someone in exchange for them voting for you if I can't do it directly. ...I'm not letting anything happen to either of you.

[cramped indeed. but battler didn't really mind it, only he didn't want to be close to rudolf. good thing his father moved closer to ange, made it much easier to avoid his old man and scoot away from him.]

Yeah, I'm good too, I have people voting for me on my team.

[...dammit, his old man was getting all emotional. battler did miss him, he really did, so he softened at rudolf's words.]

Same here. I'll put my family above all... [but he did trail off to the side.] ...And Beato, too. [he muttered that, but it was so overly cramped the two of them would be able to hear that oh so easily.]

[ Sounds like their situations are similar then.. That's good. Ange didn't go ahead and lobby with someone from Battler's team just for him to get fucked over, okay!! Once the teams thin out she'll have to start worrying about it more, but it seems okay enough for now - the relief making her lean into Rudolf's hold a bit.

Except then the temperature seems to almost drop into the negatives in the room mood-wise from the cold shoulder that's starting to form on Ange at that last mention. ]

... What are you saying, onii-chan? [ SHE EVEN ALREADY SOUNDS ANNOYED.. No matter that she's trying to slightly repress it... ]

She just had a talk with me about you guys hating her, but you wanna work with her?

[Although she did say Battler might eventually say they should work with her. It just sounded more...endgame than right away.]

[battler glanced at the two of them, taking on a more serious tone. he felt like he was in the right here, even though he knew the complications when it came to beato. he knew that beato took a part in how ange met her demise, he knew that beato was simply his enemy.... and yet....]

I get it, my words probably don't make any sense. But Beato.... I can't let her die that easily, either. She's my enemy and it's my right to deal with her. If I have to kill her... well... I will, but not before I absolutely have to.

[ Hate is the right word! Ange's experiences here sure haven't improved her view of the witch, although.. well, she's super biased to begin with, so it's not like she's going to interprete any of the witches' actions in a positive way. She's definitely glaring over at Battler now, despite how serious the other seems. ]

Why would you want to ever actively help keep someone like that around?! You know that she can't be trusted, onii-chan!

[ Apparently some sibling instincts are instinctive enough to have them despite not really having grown up all the way with siblings, since Ange's gaze quickly snaps over to Rudolf. ]
