Well.. that really depends. [ Way to make this conversation fall even deeper into depressing topics, Charles! But then again, this one's mostly Ange's fault for.. being so.. well, Ange. Ange-y. There needs to be an adjective for this. ] Sometimes gruesome demises aren't the worst thing that could happen to you, after all.

But I was just saying it since I really want to know if that kid is somewhere out there. Trapped in a place like this with his mother probably dead.. and it's not like she was talking about a father.

I suppose. [he does agree with that much, at least, but feels that most humans have no ability to grasp the notion fully. how can they? to him, mortal things will almost always fear death the most.]

...Are you going to wonder about it? Wondering might lead to action, you know, and that won't end well.

It's not like I'm going away from this place to seek that kid out or anything. I wouldn't even know where to start, either way. [ Especially not since she was stuck in that hospital along with Charles and the others the entire time while the others went exploring. ]

.. I guess though.. if there's a chance sometime or whatever, I'd at least want to make sure he's okay if it isn't going to be too much of a pain in the ass. Call it a naive fault.

That's the kind of fault that could get a person killed, you know. Most likely a boring death, at that. [which is clearly the worst thing anyone could ever have to deal with... after a pause:]

But I suppose there are worse things still to waste your time on. I doubt the opportunity for you to check will ever arise, but if it does, hopefully I won't be in the right for once.

[ And yet she's still stupid enough to go for it, go figure. Then again, Ange's been sort of desensitized towards death by now. The only thing she's worried about is that other people wouldn't be able to take her dying - even just temporarily - in this place rather than dying itself. ]

Don't worry though. I give you all rights to go around and said that you told me so if I do end up stupidly dying because of it one day. As a way to make up for you having to spend a while by yourself with boring people, I guess.

[this seems to get some genuine thought from him... because he clearly has to seriously weigh the benefits of being able to say I told you so against the pitfalls of being stuck without interesting company for a day. what a dilemma.]

I suppose that I'll accept this, then, but I would prefer if you not make me use it.

[ She can't help but actually smile a little to herself as she says that, honestly.. Ange's weirdly fond of Charles in her own special way, especially after everything that happened back there in that hospital. ]
