[ Even when he moves away she still stares at him. It's obvious that it wasn't all okay just now, even if it is fine by now.. and it's obvious that there's still something awkward about him too. So Ange can't help but frown a little, although it's exactly because of that worry he mentioned. Of course she's going to worry about him of all people..

So she resolutely takes a few steps forward until she's right in front of him again, even though this time he's the one with his back against the wall. And although out of some sort of shyness her resolution wavers for a moment or two, in the end she presses on. With a swift motion (and after making sure there's absolutely nobody around, but it seems like they're definitely alone and sheltered in an alley like this) she moves her hands up, putting them on the sides of his face and leaning up to press her lips to his. It's still slightly fumbly, but definitely genuine, and her lips linger against his until she pulls away a moment later. Ange does seem bashful, not moving too far away from him just yet. ]

[....Fuck. He really can't deny her when she's acting like this either way. He was just going to walk off and go back to whatever business he had been doing, but then she went over to him, pulling him down and kissing him like that. Of course he kissed her right back, even missing the feeling when she pulled away. He frowned, a hand reaching up to her, brushing her cheek and pushing back some hair that fell around her face.

A grunt escapes him though, and he moves to get out of her grasp, just walking a little ways away from her, not feeling like being so close as he explains this, really.]

Last big earthquake I was in.... lots of people died, I got my Branch of Sin, and a ton of shit changed for people everywhere. I didn't want this to end up as another Red Hole incident so I just.... wanted to find you.

[ She still just quietly stares at him when he moves to touch her face like that.. but then he walks away, and she instead tries to take on a little more of her usual attitude again, moving her arms up to cross them across her chest as she thinks about what he's saying.

So that's it, huh.. She figured he was doing it just to protect her, but she didn't know why the earthquake itself was such a big deal to him, usually he was pretty calm about that kind of stuff. But it makes sense if it was what ruined everything for him last time..

And it's not like she isn't glad that he did it either way. ]

But it ended up just fine, right? Both of us are okay.. thanks to you. It wasn't like that time.

[Yeah... it wasn't like that at all, and he's really grateful for it. And it's thanks to him? Cheh, that's good at least. He shrugs a bit and walks further out of the alleyway.]

I might have overreacted a bit though... what the fuck ever. I wanna go check out what caused that.

[ .. Yup, that's Senji alright. Discarding a moment of weakness so easily.. but it's fine, not like she's going to go on about it if he doesn't want to linger on it. Instead she just jogs a few steps to catch up to him so she's at least walking next to him now. ]

It almost felt like it came from the direction of the well.. isn't that where the most monsters were either way? [ Since if anyone would know that it's Kiyomasa 'OH HEY MONSTERS TIME TO CUT THEM UP' Senji. ]

[Oh yes the monsters!! Ange knows him too well, he turns his head in the direction of the well and grins a little.]

Well... better go over there and see if any of the fuckers got out. I've been wanting to cut up more of those fuckers, right dead center.

Like you haven't done away with enough of them already. At this rate those scientists or whatever they are in charge are going to see you as a threat, you know. [ It's said a little seriously. After all, she doesn't want them to get rid of Senji in some way, she just.. can't even imagine being without him now. She really needs him by her side.. ]

.. A few is fine, but don't turn it into some sort of war with only you against over a thousand monsters.

[like he gives a shit, he welcomes it. So sorry Ange, but he's feeling much better now that he knows she's okay so he wants to go kill things again.]

[ .. Geez, Senji, it's just that she's worried here about you! But fine, she knows that this guy is as hard-headed as can be, nothing she says is going to convince him otherwise. It's not the monsters she's worried about, she knows he can fight and can take care of them, but when it comes to the people in charge of this place.. none of them seem to stand a chance. ]

Sure, it'll be great fun. [ It's easy to notice about Ange though when she's really indifferent or just acting indifferent but she's actually worried. Like now, judging by her grumpy expression. ] Just go ahead and do whatever you want.

[Oh.... is she seriously feeling angry now? Senji is still smirking, but he looks over his shoulder at her.]

.. If you didn't, I'd have to go and follow you to hell just so I could kick your ass for it, either way.

[ But it doesn't entirely get rid of her grumpiness. Mostly since it doesn't entirely get rid of her worry either. There's still the possibility that he might not come back, or that he could be seriously hurt, and.. she knows he can endure it, she really does, but she's not so sure if she could endure seeing that again. ]

[Shit, she's actually upset huh? Senji stops walking and turns to her, a hand in his pocket and he has an amused expression on his face still.]

When you doubt me like that it makes me feel like ya don't trust my strength. Those guys, they just got me that one time- that was the first and it's definitely the last. I ain't dyin' again, you hear me? I ain't leaving either.

Come on, with these fangs of mine I'm all ready to bite down and never let go, the enemy is as good as dead with me around.... besides, got someone waitin' for me so I can't just go and look uncool or anything.

[ Just at that first line her expression turns from grumpy to something that's a little more unsure, but she still listens to him talk, almost wrapping her arms around herself a little. ]

I don't doubt your strength.. [ She wouldn't. She knows how strong he is, she's seen it, but even without that she would trust his word completely. It's Senji, after all, the person she likes.. But he died before, exactly because this place didn't give him a chance to use that strength of his', and-- ]

.. Sorry. This place is driving me nuts.

[He sighs a little at that, his expression dropping from that amused look into something more serious. He's staring at her, his hands still in his pockets, and he moves to go closer to her. He's more off to the side of her when he approaches her, and he leans down a little so he can whisper to her, so he can speak and only she can hear.]

Try livin' in a hell hole like this for seven years, it does shit to a person. But something that helps is to remember whatever it is you're fightin' for.... don't lose sight of that and don't let the monsters inside you take over. Sanity is just a state of mind, and you're strong Ange. I was on the verge of insanity before some kid came into that prison and reminded me of all that.

Doubt will lead you into the abyss. So don't doubt that I'm fightin' harder than before because of you.

[ .. Fighting for her.. Senji, stronger than almost everyone..

Ange glances off to the side, to where he's standing, just a little bit. Even after he speaks she's quiet for a moment or two, as if she's considering his words, but then she's shaking her head lightly to herself. When she speaks up, her voice is just as soft as his just now was. ]

Don't worry. I won't fully flip out. I can't. [ Even if this place plays tricks on them, she'll just have to get used to them, just like how she got used to the bullying, the insults, everything-- the only thing she can't seem to get used to is the loss of people important to her. Most notably Battler since he's here now, and the guy standing next to her more than anything too.. ]

I'm fighting so I can stay together with you. .. There's no way I'd forget that.

[Senji nods at that, wanting to hear those words. He straightens up a little more, and then turns to look out to the direction of the well.]

Good, so no objections to me goin' and checking out whatever just happened, right? [No matter what she says he's going anyways.]

.. No objections.

[ Not like it can be too dangerous either way, right? Besides, she's following right behind him, even if something does happen they'll be together so-- it's fine. She should just stop worrying already like he said. ]

Let's just go already. I'll follow you.
