[ Ange's too lame to actually record a custom voicemail message, but still, feel free to leave a message after the standard message's beep or just normally call her.
Threads for roommates or in-person stuff can also be started here. ]

...I am, yes. Thank you. [ENJOY THAT ANGE it is probably like the second genuine thanks he's said in years. there's actually some detectable gratitude in his voice and everything! truly, it is a rarity.] You wouldn't know it, but if I hadn't been returned to normal, I wouldn't be able to hold the telephone.
no subject
[ Sorry, but when she's driven into a corner by her own social awkwardness she can't help but get a little tsunsnappy since even though he says "you wouldn't know it" she does remember him not being able to hold the cards back there.. her hand is clutching the phone so tightly that her knuckles are turning white, Ange please don't destroy it accidentally.. at least she did get to hear that genuine thank you, better take a picture so it'll last longer. ]
.. I wouldn't exactly put it beyond you to just go find another way to talk into it. You know, like making someone your slave so they can do it for you or whatever.
no subject
I would have, certainly! It would be a horrid inconvenience for me on a whole, though. [and not for the person forced into phone holding servitude, apparently??] Just having to depend on others for those four weeks was enough to cure me of the urge.

I just wanted to make sure though. My eye came back, but I figured that just regrowing an eye wouldn't that big of a deal if they can revive people too. So I didn't know if the same happened for everyone.
no subject
Oh my, are you trying to tell me that you lied about being rat food? [charles stop] Hm, hm... Well, we've all had a bit of good luck there in that everyone was returned to normal. [he's grateful, though, hearing that Ange had been returned to her original state too. that brings another, less pleasant thing to mind...] ...Have you scars?
no subject
(the answer is no isn't it) ]
Sorry to say it, but I've managed to escape an untimely death for now, so you'll have to put up with me here a little more instead of at our afterlife tea party. [ and then a switch between a ridiculous topic and a completely serious one like it's nothing-- ] Thanks to that friendly doctor I've got a scar left across my eye, yeah. He practically clawed it out, so that's the mark that's left from it. I already told Ciel-san I'd make up some cool story like me having wrestled a bear or something like that, she said it might impress some people who came from the same place as her.

Ah, how disappointing. I was so looking forward to that nice party. [IT'S OKAY ANGE he transitions with just as much ease, how normal.]
Hah... It's a wretched thing, isn't it? Even if you come up with the grandest of stories for it. I suppose nothing can be done for it until we can return the gifts in kind, but that wait is going to be so looong. I'm already antsy! [SOMEONE'S BITTER.]
no subject
.. It's probably going to be a real long while until that though, yeah. Kite doesn't show himself multiple times in a row quickly.
no subject
Calling him an annoyance is a kindness, honestly. ...But he certainly does seem to have a habit of ducking back into his shell as soon as he's been bested. All of the most irritating people do.
no subject
.. So you don't know what happened to him after all that? It's pretty much a blur to me since I was ushered out of that place and back here so quickly through all the fighting people.
no subject
I haven't the slightest where he went or whether or not he's dead, but I won't hold my breath. [which he's actually a tiny bit grateful for because he totally wants to be present when Kite dies a miserable death.] ...Though that does remind me, the soldiers all reacted so strangely to us. I have severe doubts that they know what's going on in that building.
no subject
"Sorry." She can't say it out loud, but if she thinks it loudly enough, just maybe... ]
I guess they're probably keeping the people from this place in the dark about everything.. I mean, there's got to be quite some out there. That nurse said she had a son too and I haven't seen any kids around that place at all.
no subject
but for that exact reason he doesn't allow himself to linger on the topic.]
She was likely lying. Desperate people say desperate things.
no subject
.. She wasn't lying. [ Maybe it's just more that Ange wishes she didn't lie, but she still wants to believe in it. There's one thing you just don't lie about no matter what, and that's family. ] I mean.. there's no way. When a mother's concerned for her child, you can just.. notice it. That's how moms are. [ Funny considering Ange's mother didn't care for her at all.
But thankfully she herself doesn't know that. ]

As I've said, desperate people do desperate things. If you need to act a certain way to gain sympathy if the only other option is eternal enslavement or a gruesome demise, would you not take it?
no subject
But I was just saying it since I really want to know if that kid is somewhere out there. Trapped in a place like this with his mother probably dead.. and it's not like she was talking about a father.
no subject
I suppose. [he does agree with that much, at least, but feels that most humans have no ability to grasp the notion fully. how can they? to him, mortal things will almost always fear death the most.]
...Are you going to wonder about it? Wondering might lead to action, you know, and that won't end well.
no subject
.. I guess though.. if there's a chance sometime or whatever, I'd at least want to make sure he's okay if it isn't going to be too much of a pain in the ass. Call it a naive fault.
no subject
But I suppose there are worse things still to waste your time on. I doubt the opportunity for you to check will ever arise, but if it does, hopefully I won't be in the right for once.
no subject
[ And yet she's still stupid enough to go for it, go figure. Then again, Ange's been sort of desensitized towards death by now. The only thing she's worried about is that other people wouldn't be able to take her dying - even just temporarily - in this place rather than dying itself. ]
Don't worry though. I give you all rights to go around and said that you told me so if I do end up stupidly dying because of it one day. As a way to make up for you having to spend a while by yourself with boring people, I guess.
no subject
I suppose that I'll accept this, then, but I would prefer if you not make me use it.
no subject
[ She can't help but actually smile a little to herself as she says that, honestly.. Ange's weirdly fond of Charles in her own special way, especially after everything that happened back there in that hospital. ]
no subject
instead, he's just content to know that the feeling is mutual. there's a soft sort of amusement in his tone when he speaks.]
Then I would have to say that your tastes would make up for your small slip in common sense. How fortunate for you.
no subject
Well, I guess I should do other things though instead of just talking to weird old men who don't look old at all over the phone. Is it alright if we just talk again some other time?
no subject
Indeed, indeed. There are so many pebbles and dirt stains to count, yes? [someone get them better hobbies] Do take care until we chat next. I'd hate it if you were to actually become rat food.
