[ There's a moment or two where she - almost uncharacteristically, since there's something softer in her expression as she does so - just stares at Ciel, freezing in the middle of her step down the stairs. It's just strange to think how she never could have imagined she'd be back in this kind of situation, back to her more or less happy life here together with the people she cares about.

The relief wells up in her, and although she tries to hold it back, a tiny smile appears on her face. She awkwardly finishes walking down the stairs, tucking a strand of red hair behind her ear. ]

Even though it's already been a tiny while since they were returned here, it's still weird - being able to just walk around freely, or at least in a much larger area than being cooped up in those few rooms, seeing the sky, but more than that what Ciel says.. just things being normal. That's all it takes. ]

Hopefully they'll stay like this for a little bit more now. Or if they'd do more of their usual gig with showing memories or letting monsters loose all over the place, then I'd be fine with that too.

[They can both thoroughly appreciate a boring everyday for what it is, huh... It's almost like a means to measure how much your life sucked, by determining how much you value dumb random things that no one else bats an eyelash over.]

That means I'm the only one from my world left again. [ She can say it surprisingly easily this time though. ...Goodness. I'd say I'm sorry, Ushiromiya-san, but at the rate they're going, it's probably better to not care at this point. I remember when the same thing happened to me in Mayfield, although luckily, there was no one I was strongly attached to or deeply disliked.

Don't worry. I've already figured that out by myself. [ She even gives a tiny smile after it, as if she's trying to prove that she's really okay and not just only putting up a front about it. Although she's had a complex over her family for the longest time, she finally feels like she can slowly but surely start to move on now it's been so long. ] All my family remembers is me as a little kid either way and not this older me, so.. it's fine. I do, Sophie-chan really is the type to just do something like that out of the blue. I think she embarassed Sonohara-san a little bit, but it was a good thing in the end. I think. [ Anri could definitely use some more friends. ] She's the kind of girl who's probably naturally a little lonely, and there's no way she'd deserve to feel that way.

I can't say I personally really mind it. It's no big deal to me. [ But then again, she's used to it. She's too perceptive for even Ange to pull it off succesfully, she bets. ]

I saw her for the last time outside the hospital just when we got out, and.. I don't know. [ She's being genuinely confused over what to think about it rather than trying to cover it up or avoid saying it, though. ] She seemed pretty.. desperate, almost. Coupled with her sudden disappearance right after that it would seem worrying to anyone, right? .. As to the message, I think she's probably doing it as some sort of reminder or whatever. But it's just a guess.

It was a stressful time for everyone. Whatever was bothering her, I'm sure she had her reasons. Maybe you could get her to talk about it with you once she comes back; she does seem like the type of person who keeps too much buried within herself. [Not "if" she comes back, but "once", because she surely will. The reply is quiet, but it sounds confident, too.]

It's worrisome, but I think she just disappeared like how many tend to, once in a while. Those usually last anywhere up to several weeks, right? We have to believe she's okay, and as a roommate, you'll be by her side upon her return.

Hmm. [ It's her only reply to Ciel's reassurance at once. She isn't the type who wants to delude herself with false hopes only to get disappointed later, but she thinks that just maybe she can actually believe in this one. After all, it happened to other people and they came back.. the only worrisome thing is that it happened right with tons of stuff going on. But she has to believe. After all.. it's probably what friends do. She figures.

Instead she focuses on what else Ciel says. ]

No, it's not really like that. [ Not that she's hated, but.. her conclusion to begin with is because of what Anri told her. How she said that Ange or any of the others could have been hurt. Was that why she left it up, to remind herself of that, to steel her determination? It can only remain a guess as long as Anri herself isn't here. ] If it was like that, then I would already have taken care of it myself. But.. since it's Sonohara-san, I don't want to disrespect whatever her wishes might be.

Huh? [ .. Somehow it feels loaded. The way Ciel asks it. Maybe the fact that she's asking for her to confirm it is what gives her that feeling, or maybe her tone, but..

She's usually honest unless she's denying her feelings either way. No sense in lying now either, even if there's a near sense of dread. ]

Well.. it usually just hurts the person more if they only find out something happened and they were the only one out of the loop later on. That's why I'm saying I'm not sure if we should remove it to begin with, since it might potentially hurt Sonohara-san's feelings. Although it could relieve her too, but there's no way of telling without asking her directly about it instead. [ In other words, to not do it behind her back. ]
